Writing Your Grief: A Retreat Day for Parents Who Have Lost Children

The loss of a child is the most tragic traumatic experience parents can have. This retreat day will give parents an opportunity to see how writing can be a transformative act to help them move forward in the process of surviving the death of their child. The day will be led by poet Sharon Charde whose son, Geoffrey, died 22 years ago. Charde,retired family therapist, leads workshops and weekend retreats, teaches weekly creative writing workshops for young people, and has received numerous awards for her poetry. Saturday, 9:30 am to 5 pm. Fee: $45 (includes lunch). Each participant may bring a friend for $25 payable with registration.
